    Hello,

I'm having issues with Mr. Roth's UPTIMEMON.pl Perl Script.

It seems fantastic to do what I need to monitor my remote systems connected via VPN but I am having issues with it.

Once The Service is Begun (after I install it ;) ), It stops a few seconds after starting it, mentionning that this could be normal with a Windows Popup because certain Windows services automatically do this automatically.

Here is what the UPTIMEMON.log file outputs:

[Thu May 17 19:52:37 2007] Server Uptime Monitor service is starting...
[Thu May 17 19:52:37 2007] Got odd state 0. Setting state to 'SERVICE_STARTING'

I've browsed through the code, compared it to Mr. Roth's DIRMON.pl (which works fantastically). Nothing is different, and this one runs as a Service with no issues.

I am running an WinXPSP2 Workstation with Admin Priviledges with ActivePerl-5.8.8.820 with the proper Packages installes (Daemon+Eventlog).

    Any insights?

    Thank you!
